How to write a good title and description?

  • The title

60 characters at most, the page topic first, the brand at the end after a hyphen. One title per page, never the same twice.

  • The meta description

Between 120 and 155 characters, with the searched term and a concrete fact: a price, a duration, a figure. The key point in the first 110 characters.

  • The h1

Only one per page, aligned with the title. It is the heading your visitors read, and one of the first signals for AI.

  • Google often rewrites titles that are too long, too vague or stuffed with keywords. A short, precise title aligned with the h1 is changed less often.

  • Not directly, but it makes people want to click. A precise description improves click-through rate.
